Organizers: Saipan’s 2nd International Tatu & Arts fest a success

Ed Elenzano, a.k.a Dragon Edong, the organizer of this festivity, told the Variety that he was happy with the outcome of the event.

“There are more participants this time compared to the first time we held it last year, but there is more to come. We will definitely be hosting another festival next year,” Edong said.

He added that participants can expect a more lavish festival in the future.

Competitions in different categories were held during the festival, and the awards were given to deserving winners on Sunday evening.

Tattoo of the Day first place went to Russel Labto, while Joe Chatters took  second place. Third place went to “M.”

For the sexiest tattoo, first place winner was Shic Youku Bonten.  Sexy Sammy from Arizona won the second place, while Meer won third place.

This year’s Best Japanese Tattoo first place winner is Yasutero Kudo. Second place went to Yamato Bonten while the third place was a tie between Kai Bonten and Machida Bonten.

The first International Tatu & Arts festival last year was held for only a couple of days but Edong said they had to extend it this time to four days to allow more people to participate.

The four-day international tattoo festival began on Thursday in the Hibiscus Hall of Fiesta Resort & Spa  and brought participating artists from Japan, United States, the Philippines, Thailand, France, England, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Guam, Norway and other places.
