The chamber said as of Thursday evening 150 individuals had already confirmed attendance.
To be installed are Doug Brennan, general manager of Microl Corp., as the new president; Jim Arenovski of Delta Management Corporation an the outgoing president, as the new vice president; Kathryn Barry of KB Communications as secretary; and Michael S. Johnson, managing partner of Deloitte & Touche, as treasurer.
Also to be installed are two board members — Alex S. Sablan of the Saipan Shipping Co. and Vincent J. Seman, an attorney with Carlsmith Ball.
The new set of officers were elected during the meeting at the Saipan Grand Hotel on Nov. 4.
The officers serve one-year terms while directors at large serve two-year terms.
Congressman Gregorio C. Sablan will be the evening’s keynote speaker.
At the installation dinner, the chamber will also announce the recipient of its Businessperson of the Year Award.
This year’s nominees are Arenovski; Vicente “Ben” Babauta, assistant general manager for operations of DFS Saipan, Ltd.; and Phillip Mendiola-Long, vice president of Bridge Investment Group and owner of Sherman Consulting LLC.
To be nominated, an individual must be a resident of commonwealth and member of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce.
Past recipients of award compose the panel that evaluates the nominees based on several criteria: community involvement, contributions to the community, support for the local workforce, and participation in the chamber.
