Associate judge David A. Wiseman ordered Jin Hong to show up in court on Feb. 26, 2009 at 2 p.m. in order to show cause why she should not be deported from the CNMI.
The petitioners, through Immigration Investigator Nicanor T. Reyes, stated that, Jin Hong has failed to comply with the requirements or conditions of her entry to the CNMI.
Reyes said based on information he obtained from the Labor and Immigration Identification and Documentation System, the respondent is a citizen of the People’s Republic of China who entered the CNMI as a tourist on Dec. 16, 2008.
She did not submit any application nor had she any pending application with the Division of Immigration’s processing section to explain her continued stay.
Reyes said the respondent’s sister sponsored the affidavit of sponsorship and support for the respondent’s visitor entry permit to the CNMI.
If the respondent fails to show up for the hearing on the specified date as ordered, a judgment of default may be taken against her for the relief demanded in the petition and a bench warrant may be issued for her arrest.
