Palacios said the Juan-Galvin team’s support for the party’s standard bearer, Rep. Heinz S. Hofschneider, will boost their chances of winning the Nov. 7 general elections.
Babauta showed up at the GOP’s kick-off rally on Saturday at the Civic Center to urge the public to vote for the Republican slate.
“I am very happy and humbled that he [Babauta] came. I knew that he was going to honor his word. I had no doubt that he was going to do that,” the speaker told the Variety.
Although the chairman of the Committe to Elect Juan & Galvin is seen at the Covenant Party rallies, Palacios said most of the former governor’s supporters remain faithful to the GOP.
