The Ministry of State and the Office of the President are already preparing for the gathering which will be held at the Ngarachmayong Cultural Center here in Koror.
Besides President Johnson Toribiong, also attending the event are Federated States of Micronesia President Emanuel Mori, Marshall Islands President Jurelang Zedkaia and the governors of the CNMI, Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk and Yap.
Invitations have also been extended to leaders of Nauru and Kiribati. But according to the Ministry of State, it has yet to receive a confirmation from the two island republics.
The summit is an annual get-together of leaders from the different islands of Micronesia.
It serves as a forum for the participating governments to discuss and address challenges and issues of mutual concern regarding education, health, environment, energy, telecommunications and climate change.
Initially organized as the Western Micronesia Chief Executives Summit, it now includes the entire region.
The last summit was held on Saipan.
