Filed by Rota High School principal Lynne Michael, the grievances is being reviewed by attorney Teresa Kim, the legal counsel of Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Villagomez.
In an interview yesterday, King said she has already provided the board all the necessary documents and reports regarding the issue.
She said she expects a positive outcome.
King has been accused of overstepping her boundaries and meddling with school issues on Rota in light of the petition filed by some parents against the principal.
“Hopefully the result [of the review] is forthcoming and I am very confident,” King said. “I stand firm on what I did and I believe that’s my duty to protect the welfare of our children.”
King said she used the proper channels and followed the chain of command when she initially informed the board about the Rota petition.
“I will continue to be vigilant,” she added. “I have full confidence in the board and my arguments reflected that there are issues regarding the children’s safety and academic environment.”
BOE Chairwoman Lucy Blanco-Maratita declined to comment as the grievance is still “being investigated and/or addressed.”
