Now in the Quartermaster Corps, Pangelinan, a distinguished military graduate, was a cadet in the Comanche Battalion, Cameron University’s Army ROTC program, one of the top programs in the nation, and a 2010 MacArthur Award recipient for best battalion in the western region.
Pangelinan was a noncommissioned officer selected to participate in the Army’s competitive Green to Gold program, which annually provides 200 enlisted soldiers in the Army the opportunity to earn commissions as Army officers and college degrees as full time students through Army ROTC.
On Friday, May 7, Pangelinan graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in criminal justice. He holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Northern Marianas College and is an alumnus of Marianas High School.
Pangelinan encourages others to pursue higher education and advance their military career. He states, “It’s never too late. All you need is motivation and purpose.”
In attendance at the commencement event and commissioning ceremony was his wife, Adryanne Sablan Pangelinan, daughter Analu Pangelinan, mother Lucy M. Deleon Guerrero, mother-in-law Anne V. Sablan, aunt Lucy I. Sablan, and uncle SFC (R) Ray M. Sablan.
