Parolee sentenced for disturbing the peace

Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja sentenced Jose O. Rabauliman, 34, to two months and 16 days the defendant already served at the Department of Corrections facility.

In the plea agreement, the CNMI government agreed not to use Rabauliman’s conviction in this case to revoke his probation or parole in any previous case, or to place him on a new term of probation.

Rabauliman will remain on parole until Feb. 12, 2025.

The Attorney General’s Office charged Rabauliman with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace of Pavlovene Taitano, a “household member” of

Rabauliman on June 2, 2010. Rabauliman was taken into custody from June 4 until Aug. 20, 2010.

Attorney Joaquin DLG. Torres represented Rabauliman while Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Petersburg prosecuted the case.

The status of Rabauliman’s parole hearing before the Board of Parole could not be determined as of press time yesterday.

Rabauliman was paroled in 2008.

Rabauliman and another individual were sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for kidnapping and raping two Chinese guest workers in 1998.
