Sonia Siwa of PDM Promoters Inc. said the cleanup brigade was composed of Kinpachi Restaurant volunteers, PDM Promoters members and members of the Saipan Awaodori team from Koblerville.
The team picked up assorted trash like plastic, discarded tires, cans, bottles, Styrofoam, and regular trash from households and business establishments from the road side near Winchell’s to Coral Tree Avenue, around the Paseo de Marianas and the fire station, ending in front of American Memorial Park.
For the past months, PDM Promoters volunteers have collected several thousands of trash from the same area. The number of volunteers has been increasing.
Siwa said PDM Promoters gave special recognition to Inocencia They for participating each month.
“We have regular volunteers who never fail to come and join us every month. We also have regular tourists who make it a practice to help whenever they are here, and we are very grateful to these individuals who see the importance of keeping our environment clean and green,” Siwa said.
PDM Promoters works with the Division of Environmental Quality in the monthly cleanup.
