Through its Dalaw Kalinga Foundation medical mission, the church will offer free blood sugar and blood pressure examinations, massage, eye screening and haircuts.
The church marked its 10th anniversary on Sept. 27.
Its pastor, Claire Javillonar, told Variety that the medical mission is a yearly event but they were not able to conduct it in the past two years.
“We now revive this activity to serve the community, especially these days when many are unemployed and have illnesses,” she said.
The free services are for all community members, she added.
Javillonar said they will also give away hand sanitizers, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and mineral drinking water.
Five Northern Marianas College nursing students led by Herbin Jacinto will administer the free blood sugar and blood pressure examinations.
Project Director Tayna Camacho of the Diabetes Prevention and Tobacco Prevention Program will provide volunteers with the supplies necessary for the medical examinations, Javillonar said.
A hair stylish from a beauty saloon will provide free hair cuts while Erlinda Muleta of the Marianas Eye Institute will be in-charge of the eye screening.
“I hope the community will avail and appreciate these free services,” Javillonar said.
