Kagman residents who need to fill their medicine prescriptions or pick up any over-the-counter drugs need not spend time and expensive gasoline to go to Garapan anymore.
“We are very happy to extend our services and make our medicines and supplies accessible to the people of Kagman. We had been planning and working for this extension for some years and now it’s finally here,” PHI Pharmacy owner/vice president Bruce Cohen said.
With the opening of the Kagman PHI Pharmacy outlet, Cohen said the residents in that area can now be spared from the long trip to get medicine refills and other medical supplies.
Cohen said like the other three outlets, PHI Pharmacy Kagman carries a complete line of prescription drugs and over the counter products from beauty and health care, baby care products, hair care, dental care, durable medical supplies, personal hygiene products, medicines for cough and cold, pain, wound treatments, health and vitamins, and more.
Anniversary Promo
For its 15th anniversary promotion, Cohen said PHI will be offering 25 percent slash off on all over the counter items, and 50 percent discount on selected items at the four PHI Pharmacy outlets at the Commonwealth Health Center, Marina Heights, Dandan and Kagman beginning today and until August 12.
“This is our way of giving back to the community and showing our thanks to the people who had been supporting us through 15 years of our existence,” Cohen said.
PHI Pharmacy also works with all the private agencies that provide home health care for patients in the island.
In addition to its retail services, PHI Pharmacy now delivers wholesale supplies to private clinics islandwide.
“When a client needs a special order that is not yet in our inventory, we place orders and can have that item here within a few days,” Cohen said.
Physicians can also place medicine prescriptions for patients to pick up at any of the PHI Pharmacy outlets anytime.
Cohen said that having only one server for all the four outlets gives their clients a huge advantage because they can place orders or get prescription refills and pick them up from the nearest PHI outlet.
“Our server keeps a record of all the medication each patient has been taking and we can trace the records back to 1986 since we opened,” Cohen said.
PHI Pharmacy accepts all kinds of health insurance plans.
Community outreach
PHI Pharmacy not only distributes affordable and top quality medications, but they also go all out in educating the people about the importance of adapting lifestyle changes to stay healthy.
“Most of the prevalent diseases in the island like hypertension and diabetes are related to obesity — diseases which can be prevented with a lifestyle change,” Cohen said.
PHI Pharmacy came up with 15 different flyers containing basic information and prevention on the most common diseases which they distribute to the community to enhance their educational outreach program.
