(BNN) — Pohnpei State Attorney General Delsin Ehmes Sr. succumbed to a heart attack Sunday night. His remains are at his residence in Mwalok, Sokehs.
Ehmes managed his own private law firm before joining the state government as attorney general. Before the end of this first year in office, the Pohnpei Legislature impeached him.
He was on leave awaiting a trial when he passed away. Joses Gallen, assistant attorney, was named acting state attorney general in the interim.
Ehmes is survived by his wife and several children.
