Police last week police raided the offices of Flosse’s political party and arrested his personal secretary, Melba Ortas.

Ortas was denied bail during a court appearance in Tahiti.

The head of the H-2 advertising group, Hubert Haddad, has also been arrested over allegations he used bribery to secure a lucrative advertising contract for French Polynesia’s phone book.
