Probable cause found in Tinian ‘ice’ case

Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman  directed Fu Zhu Lin, 38, also known as Noni, to answer the drug charges during his arraignment on Nov. 15, 2010.

Lin was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections after his preliminary hearing yesterday.

He is being held on a $30,000 cash bail.

Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo earlier found probable cause to detain Lin who was arrested at his work station, the kitchen of Tinian Dynasty.

CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force and other members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted a buy-bust operation on Lin on Oct. 29, 2010.

Through a cooperating source, authorities bought $200 worth of “ice from Lin who tried to escape on foot after the drug deal.

Police also recovered from Lin’s house the marked money he used in the drug deal.

Assistant Attorney General Brian Gallagher is the prosecutor while Assistant Public Defender Adam Miles is representing Lin.
