Probable cause found vs man in ‘ice,’ marijuana case

On Friday, Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo found probable cause that Satoshi, 42, may have committed the drug charges filed against him by the Attorney General’s Office.

On Oct. 20, 2010, Satoshi possessed “ice” and marijuana, the AGO said.

Satoshi is being held on a $30,000 cash bail.

Assistant Attorney General Eli Golob represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Adam Miles was appointed by the court as Satoshi’s counsel.

Satoshi was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.

Satoshi, a Dandan resident, was arrested while the CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force was executing arrest and search warrants against Mendel Jeffrey Techur, Anthony Villanueva, and Karlene Reyes Lizama, all involved in the distribution of “ice” on Saipan, police said.

Detectives found controlled substance in Satoshi’s vehicle, the AGO said.
