Hocog, who has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, was due for sentencing today.
He admitted punching Larry Garcia Gonzales who fell to the ground and whose head hit the concrete pavement. The victim died of a severe head injury.
The prosecution is recommending five years imprisonment, over $14,000 in restitution, and five years probation.
Hocog has been incarcerated since March.
