The probation office recommended Jan. 10, 2012 as the new date.
It said the continuance will allow for the probation officer to complete the criminal history portion of the presentence report investigation.
The prosecution indicated no objection to a continuance.
Miah has admitted the charge of conspiring to unlawfully produce and transfer identification documents that involved CNMI driver’s licenses.
Two of his co-defendants have been sentenced already: Tahira Dolores Miah, his wife, two years’ probation; and former Bureau of Motor Vehicle examiner William Hocog, six months’ imprisonment.
The other defendants, Hongmei Sun, and Hui Qiang Yan, have yet to be sentenced.
The five were indicted on charges of unlawfully producing and transferring CNMI driver’s licenses.
