Probationer allowed on company business trip

Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona granted the request of the U.S. Probation Office to allow Khajadour Semikian to travel on Oct. 23, 2011 and to return on Oct. 31, 2011.

On March 5, 2010, Semikian was released from the Federal Bureau of Prisons to the central district of California, where he began his term of supervised release.

The federal probation office said Semikian’s request to travel on a company business trip “to generate new business.”

Semikian works for The Clubs Choice, a business specializing in sporting events, according to the probation office.

The Clubs Choice Holding is a social-commerce web portal connecting fans or social groups to their sports teams or communities, its website stated.

Its businesses are based in Los Angeles, California, and in Montreal, Canada.

Manglona ordered Semikian to comply with his supervised release conditions while on travel status, to keep in touch with his probation officer, and to notify his probation officer within 48 hours of his return from travel.

On March 21, 2007, then-Chief Judge Alex R. Munson sentenced Semikian to a 41-month imprisonment for wire fraud to be followed by a three-year supervised release.
