PSS, CHC receive donations from Hawaii

Cancer survivor Angelray “Bo” T. Guerrero, who solicited the donation through Hawaii state Rep. Glenn Wakai’s Reach Out Pacific program, was joined by Public School System officials and representatives of the Commonwealth Health Center in the ceremonial opening of the van.

“I want to live my life to the fullest and make other people happy,” said Guerrero in an interview with the Variety.

His mother, Vicky T. Guerrero, together with their family members and friends, witnessed the opening of the van.

Vicky T. Guerrero, like Wakai, is a former reporter of KMCV-7.

“This is an excellent family project for our community,” said Education Commissioner Rita Sablan as she thanked and commended Angelray Guerrero and his family for the donations.

“This is what we call ‘Touched by an Angel,’ ” Sablan added.

CHC’s Annie Benavente also thanked him and his family.

Angelray Guerrero, for his part, thanked Wakai, U.S. and CNMI Customs, the Commonwealth Ports Authority, Saipan Stevedore Company, FAS Moving & Storage Co. and Matson. “I want to thank them…for their collective support to make this [shipment and donation] happen,” he said.

Last April, with the help of Wakai, Angelray Guerrero arranged for the shipment of donated toys that were then given to CHC for its young patients.
