(OPD) — The CNMI Office of Planning and Development on behalf of the Inter-Island Solid Waste Management Task Force invites you to a public hearing on May 21, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Tinian Public Library to share your thoughts, voice your concerns, and learn more about the CNMI Comprehensive Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan.
The CISWMP Information Hub is live. Visit https://opd.gov.mp/ciswmp.html to view the latest draft of the plan, share your thoughts and comments on the CISWMP, and stay in the loop on all CISWMP development updates.
For those considering leaving a comment through the online form, the public comment period is open until May 25, 2025, 11:59 p.m. ChST.
The CISWMP charts a sustainable path forward for the CNMI’s solid waste, spanning the development, operations, and maintenance of compliant landfilling, recycling, and composting facilities for Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and the Northern Islands. It includes supporting activities such as education and outreach, conservation, and more.
