Public library offers free ‘Net access

KOROR (Palau Horizon) — Free access to computers and the Internet will now be available for students at Palau’s public library after the Ministry of Education officially opened the use of the computers donated by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Earlier, the ministry obtained a $39,630 grant from the foundation for the installation of computers in the library. The grant also included library computers, network accessory kits and printers.

Sinton Soalablai, Palau High School principal, said the use of the computers and the Internet access is also available to the public.
