Public market opens with new schedule

It is now open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and closed on Sundays, she added.

Among the vegetables available at the market are cabbage, bitter melon, taro, cucumber, sweet potato, local ginger, and pumpkin.

“There’s a high demand for turmeric, but we’ve run out of it,” he said, adding that the market had eggplants yesterday, Thursday.
