Rated-R is calling on the youth to have fun in school by making music a part of their life.
“To all young aspiring bands out there, it doesn’t mean that if you’re in a band you have to forget your studies,” lead guitarist Mark “Bhadz” Badal said. “Let music be your motivation to study even harder.”
Band members Phonana Lozana and Budz Camacho advised the youth to stay away from drugs and to bring meaning to their lives through music.
They are also encouraging aspiring musicians to keep on practicing and continue improving their skills.
“Lastly, don’t forget to praise God in your music,” they added.
The band, which is composed of Filipino workers, said they like playing Filipino songs.
They said it is their way of making Filipinos on Saipan “feel at home.”
