Chapter executive director John Hirsh said everybody is hoping that the shutdown will end soon.
The 22nd annual American Red Cross Club 200 slated for Oct. 23 is the organization’s biggest fundraiser event of the year, and it will be held in the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort & Spa.
“Despite the shutdown and the economic crisis, we are still hoping supporters will come out and enjoy the ‘Swinging ‘60s Saipan Style’ themed event,” Hirsh said.
Over a thousand guests and supporters are expected to join the event which will raise funds for the Red Cross’ various projects.
About 2,000 tickets worth $100 each have been printed, and a ticket holder gets a chance to win several prizes, including roundtrip tickets to Asian destinations, hotel accommodations, restaurant coupons, and the $15,000 grand prize.
“It will be exciting to see everybody decked out in the 1960s attire and at a new venue. We hope to see you all there,” Hirsh said.
