the beach at the Central Repair Shop, the DPW Channel bridge, south Puerto Rico dump, Outer Cove Marina, Smiling Cove Marina, the beach north of American Memorial Park, the beach at the Hyatt, the beach at Fiesta Resort, the drainage south of Fiesta, the beach at Hafa Adai Beach Hotel, the drainage at Hafa Adai Beach Hotel, the Garapan Fishing Base, the Garapan beach drainage, Garapan beach, Sugar Dock, CK District 2 drainage beach and the beach at Hopwood school contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria that exceeded the CNMI’s marine water quality standards.
DEQ has given the locations a red flag and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of the locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.
