Rose Dance School celebrates second year

Rose Dance School instructor Eden Quizon said they are very happy to host over 70 people during the anniversary celebration.

“We are glad with the turnout composed of dance students and their friends and families,” Quizon said. Instructors entertained the audience with dance numbers.

Lucky guests also went home with various prizes for answering trivia questions about Rose Dance School. Prizes included gift certificates from Canton Restaurant, Rose Beauty Salon and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Working with Quizon in the different dance programs of the Rose Dance School are dance instructors Samuel Justo, Joseph Caranto, Joel Villega, Marvin Pullan, Erwin Gomez, and Resty Joson.

Quizon and Joson danced a medley of rumba, chacha, and salsa with school owners Rose and Carol Chan.

Quizon said they  opted for a simpler celebration this year. Their first anniversary party last year was held at the Garapan Round House.

“It was just a simple celebration this time but everybody had a grand time,” he said.

Quizon said since Rose Dance School was established last year, they had noted an increasing number of enrollees for the dance classes.

The school is urging members of the community,  especially those who are prone to obesity due to lack of physical activities, to join the dance classes.

For just $1 per session, they can learn aerobics and Latin dance classes at the 4H Club every Monday to Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at the Carolinian Village every Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Ballroom dancing lessons are from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays.
