The island had 30,094 visitors in FY 2005, but this dropped to 28,963 in FY 2006 and to 19,407 in FY 2007.
Passenger departures from Rota dropped by 8 percent.
The island had 473,249 departures in FY 2007 compared to FY 2006’s 516,366.
The arrivals and departures on Tinian also declined.
In FY 2007, there were only 30,258 arrivals on Tinian, a decline of 19 percent from FY 2006’s 37,495.
Tinian’s departures were down by 21 percent in FY 2007 compared to FY 2006.
At the Saipan airport, the arrival rate declined by 8 percent.
Saipan accommodated 470,013 arrivals in FY 2007 compared to FY 2006’s 511,720.
In 2005, Saipan’s airport recorded 583,363 arrivals.
Its departure rate in the last fiscal year also dropped by 8 percent — 43,117 passengers in FY 2007 compared to 516,366 in FY 2006.
