Club president Marcia Ayuyu, who is also McDonald Saipan’s owner and operator, said she was thankful to her fellow Rotarians for participating in the event.
She said they set up a booth at 5:30 a.m. to distribute drinks to participants.
“I thank the Rotarians for their commitment and dedication to our community,” she said.
Ayuyu also thanked Triple J for giving Rotarians the opportunity to be part of the event.
The Rotarians distributed 1,200 cups of drinks during the event, she said, adding that 16 students from Mount Carmel School also helped distribute drinks to the run/walk participants.
These students regularly volunteer whenever McDonald’s Saipan and Rotary Club conduct beach cleanups, Ayuyu said.
“They have the passion to do community work and we all love what they do for our community, and we are very grateful for their help,” she said.
