Outgoing Rotary president Glen Perez will be leading the swearing in of the incoming officers which include president-elect Pete Igitol; vice president-elect Pete Schilling; secretary-elect Laila Boyer; treasurer-elect Yosh Gabaldon; community service director Richard Cody; club service director Jay Santos; vocational service director Kelley Butcher; international service director Glen Perez; new generation service director Jeff Boyer; foundation service director Kim Forrester; and sergeant-at-arms Wayne Gillespie.
The new set of officers will serve their posts from July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2012.
The Rotary Club of Saipan, with over 40 members, has been actively participating in community events and in conducting fundraising projects for the benefit of the community. This year, the club focused on strengthening and making its presence felt in the community and providing more volunteer services.
The club has more projects in the coming year, in addition to the ongoing existing projects such as the school drive safely signs project, the Marianas High School supply center drive, Micro Beach park playground refurbishment, and the 20th Annual Rotary Youth Basketball League.
