THE Saipan Awaodori Team will perform in Guam from April 11 to 14, 2025, at different venues.

This is the team’s fourth trip to the neighboring island to showcase their cultural dance talents, said Saipan Awaodori founder and Kinpachi Restaurant president Misako Kamata.

“It is a privilege and honor to represent Japanese culture with local children performing in Guam again this year,” Kamata said.

“Our goal is promoting friendship among different cultures, which is the key to promote diversity and mutual understanding by building stronger bonds with each other,” she added.

The team members leaving for Guam are Coddie Franco V. Forbes, Jonathan Babauta Agulto, Brayden Jack B. Songsong, Vianny Jessamin V. Mettao, Consolacion Andrea V. Mettao, Marcela Heben, LeonLexon T. Wabol, Julianne Elizabeth V. Mettao, Ina V. Mettao, Ai Nonogaki, Cassidy T. Wabol, Zacarias O Sakisat and Shin Ha Sheena Kang Saures.

They will be performing at the Chamorro Village, the Guam Japanese School, Don Don Donki, Tokyo Mart, Ypao Beach Park, the Ko’ Ko’ Road Race Kids Marathon, the Guam Japan Festival at Harumatsuri, and the GBV Ko’Ko’ Road Race Half Marathon, also at Ypao Beach Park.

Correction: An earlier version of this report erroneously stated that the Saipan Awaodori Team would perform in Guam from April 11 to 24. In fact, the team will perform from April 11 to 14.
