(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of the Career Pathways Internship Program or CPIP, a collaborative initiative with the Public School System. This program provides high school juniors and seniors from Saipan, Tinian, and Rota the chance to gain valuable real-world work experience, professional mentorship, and career exploration opportunities. By aligning academic learning with the needs of local industries, the CPIP aims to bridge the gap between education and career success.
Unlike SCC’s previous Career Exploration Internship Program, which ran for seven weeks, the CPIP will span 11 months, from April 2025 to March 2026. The extended duration allows students to fully immerse themselves in the work environment, fostering long-term career planning and creating a seamless transition from education to employment.
The program is set to launch in mid-April, and we invite CNMI businesses to join us in this exciting opportunity as an Industry Partner. As a participating industry partner, you will have access to a pool of motivated, young individuals eager to gain hands-on experience. This is an excellent chance to contribute to workforce development in our community while mentoring the next generation of professionals. By participating, you will help shape the curriculum and skill development of students, ensuring they are prepared to meet the evolving demands of our local industries.
Interested industry partners are encouraged to reach out to our Chamber CPIP Internship Coordinator Rain Ni at r.ni@saipanchamber.org or call the Saipan Chamber of Commerce at (670) 234-7150 for more information.
We look forward to collaborating with you and advancing career pathways for our future workforce.
