Club president Elizabeth Escober-Mendiola said 150 bags of school supplies were provided to the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine students at the Santa Remedios Church and to the youth parishioners of Saint Jude and San Jose churches.
“The beneficiaries were very happy to receive the school supplies,” she said, adding that the club used the proceeds from the recently held Marianas Next Top Model pageants to buy the supplies.
“This is our yearly event to help the community,” she added.
Club secretary Ruth Torrecampo said all the officers and members of club are also grateful for the continued support of donors and sponsors that allows Lions to continue their mission, which is “To Serve.”
“We want the youth to have a better future,” she added as she also commended the hard work of all the officers and members of the club.
