“Power bills are too high and we want to be part of the solution,” stated John Choi, the son of owner, Hunt Choi.
GWU Corp. (God is with us) made the switch from the limousine business into solar power generation after leasing its vehicles to a local tour operation.
Complete systems are available and if a customer wishes to see a system in action they can visit the company’s Capital Hill model home for an up close inspection.
“Our model home reduced its power bill by 90 percent after we installed the system,” commented JohnChoi.
The energy savings are impressive but so are solar system prices, which can run up to $18,000 for a system that generates 1,000 kilowatts a month.
“The price may seem high, however, we use only top-quality Korean manufactured components that undergo rigorous quality control,” explained Choi.
GWU has operated in the Korean solar installation business since 2008 and are now ready to assist islanders in becoming more energy self-sufficient.
