Savatore was among the five queen candidates during the Topeka High School homecoming held on Oct. 3.
Topeka High School has an enrollment of 1,700 students.
It was the student body that selected the homecoming queen and king from among the five pairs of candidates.
Besides being crowned homecoming queen, Laura Anne Salvatore was also named Kansas State Scholar for being in the 10 percent of her senior class.
She will be honored along with other Kansas State Scholars on Nov. 13.
