Rep. Teresita A. Santos, who sponsored the dinner, said 20 Rota students currently attending NMC’s fall semester attended the gathering.
“The Rota students also found time during the gathering to interact and meet with other NMC students from Tinian and Saipan,” she said.
The purpose of the gathering, she added, was to provide an opportunity for the Rota students to meet with their elected representative and discuss matters pertaining to their transition, adjustments and any assistance their lawmakers can provide.
The dinner was held at the Saipan D&H Apartment adjacent to the NMC campus in Finasisu.
After the gathering, Santos said many of the Rota students strongly recommended a periodic get-together so they can share their concerns with their elected leaders.
“This will allow them to provide their inputs and assist in addressing issues affecting their island,” said Santos, Ind.-Rota.
