SDL women’s wing remains despite scam link

SUVA (Pacnews) — In Fiji, the ruling Soqosoqo Duavata Ni Lewenivanua party’s women’s wing continues its services despite an alleged United States work scam that surfaced last month.

The SDL women’s wing was accused of involvement in the scam, in which Fijian women were tricked into working in the US.

According to the women’s wing, the two women who organized the victims’ bogus travel to the US are members of the wing who have since been expelled from the organization.

According to the SDL women’s wing, it learned of the scam when women across the country began calling them for inquiries.
