WHILE executing a search warrant at the residence of Glenn Sablan Palacios as part of an investigation of a burglary and theft incident, police said they discovered stolen properties, drugs, a firearm and ammunition.
Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo authorized the search warrant on July 30, 2024.
“The search warrant was in reference to an investigation of a burglary and theft incident that was reported to [the Department of Public Safety] on July 25, 2024, at 10:01 a.m.,” said assistant Chief of Police Simon T. Manacop, the acting DPS public information officer. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Chalan Piao Plaza, and not at the Marianas Management Corporation office located at Joeten Superstore in San Jose as earlier reported.
“On Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at about 12:45 p.m., police executed the search warrant at the residence of Glen Palacios in Chalan Kanoa. During the search, stolen properties, drugs, a firearm and ammunition were discovered and seized,” Manacop said.
Palacios and Hope Blanco were arrested at the residence and transported to the Department of Corrections where they were booked and detained, Manacop added.
“Palacios is being charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Blanco is being charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance,” Manacop said.
“An accountability of the items seized are still being processed,” he added. “This is an active investigation being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.”
DPS Commissioner Anthony Macaranas will conduct a press conference today, Friday at 2 p.m. regarding the case. He will also talk about the recent drug busts.
