Senate commends Angelray

Accompanied by his parents, Joseph and Vicky Guerrero, Angelray, who will turn 16 tomorrow, was invited to the Senate chamber to receive the commemorative plaque for the resolution introduced by Sen. Ralph DLG. Torres, R-Saipan.

It reads, “To commend Angelray Tudela Guerrero for his inspirational courage in fighting cancer and to recognize him for his generous contributions to the community.”

Before he handed the plaque, Torres said Angelray has done so much to the community and have given the islands’ youth “a lot.”

He hopes Angelray would continue to be an “ambassador” of goodwill to everyone.

Senate President Paul A. Manglona, Ind.-Rota, said the Senate recognizes Angelray for his hard work and compassion to the youth, especially to the disadvantaged.

“We hope that his spirit can spread out in the community,” Manglona said.

Angelray thanked the lawmakers, saying that he will continue with his efforts to help his fellow youths.

Since 2008, after being treated for a malignant brain tumor, Angelray has been  donating books, toys and other supplies to the children and youth of Saipan.

Aside from Manglona and Torres, the other senators present to commend Angelray yesterday were Vice President Jude U. Hofschneider, R-Tinian; Floor Leader Pete P. Reyes, R-Saipan; Francisco Q. Cruz, R-Tinian; Luis P. Crisostimo, Ind.-Saipan; and Juan M. Ayuyu, Ind.-Rota.
