Senate panel to conduct public hearing on Inos nomination

Sen. Paterno S. Hocog, R-Rota, said  Inos has been appointed to a “very important position.”

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial nominated Inos on June 19.

Hocog said the date of the public hearing will be announced soon.

The Senate will hold a regular session tomorrow.

According to Hocog, his panel will convene to discuss the nominations of Inos and other appointees after Sen. Jude U. Hofschneider, R-Tinian and vice chairman of the committee, returns from the U.S. where he is attending to family matters.

Hofschneider wants to be part of the review process, Hocog said.

Hocog said the committee will also discuss other pending nominations to the Commonwealth Ports Authority.

Recently, Frank B. Camacho, Absalon Waki Jr. and Miriam K. Seman have withdrawn their nominations  CPA board.

The governor then nominated Benigno Sablan, Fermin Sakisat, and Edith DLG Cruz.
