Senate President Paul A. Manglona urged the officials of the Departments of Labor and Commerce as well as his colleagues to act as soon as possible to ensure that the CNMI has the guest workers it needs after 2014.
“Why wait [for the federal regulations for guest workers] when we can come up with something else?” said Manglona, Ind.-Rota.
Labor has said that not all guest workers hold jobs that are critical for CNMI development.
