(SHRM) – The SHRM Chapter will be conductings a certification discussion group during the November to January group in preparation for its certification examination.
Participants must be SHRM members and must be registered for the exam.
There will be no fee for participating or for use of the Chapter-purchased study materials. Certification is an important step in upgrading both your HR knowledge and your professional status.

“We’ve had a recent Certification Discussion Group slow down, but the Chapter has had very successful discussion groups in the past. Let’s make this next one even better! We will discuss at our first meeting (date yet to be set) whether we want our meetings to be in person or by Zoom,” the SHRM release said.
Test window dates: December 1, 2025-February 15, 2026. Examination application deadlines close t 11:59 pm, ET.
SHRM Foundation scholarships
Various professional development and certification scholarships are awarded by the SHRM Foundation. Interested can check online site of SHRM.
Payment methods
The SHRM certification program accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, money order checks, ACHs and wire transfers. Prepaid debit cards and purchase orders are not accepted.
These fees are for registration for the certification exam. As mentioned earlier, there is no fee required to participate in the discussion group, but shrm national and local membership is required and participants must be registered for the exam.
Certification eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet specific work experience criteria at the time they submit their application in order to be eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam.

Testing options
Once applicants complete the application process, you will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) letter with instructions on how to select your exam date and delivery option. You have the option of taking your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam in-person at an authorized testing center or from home through live remote proctoring. Both options are administered by Prometric, SHRM’s test administration partner.
