Stabbing victim in stable condition

Department of Public Safety acting spokesman PO2 Jason Tarkong said the Pohnpeian victim was listed in stable condition at the Commonwealth Health Center after suffering four stab wounds to his torso and stomach.

The  getaway car, a silver Nissan Sentra, was later found outside an establishment in San Antonio at about 3:06 a.m.

Police said the vehicle’s rear glass window was shattered and a rock was resting in the rear passenger seat.

The car was towed to DPS central’s impound lot and secured as evidence.

Police said an ambulance was dispatched after a call was received by DPS fire medics at about 1:45 a.m. regarding an injured person at the MCM Poker establishment behind San Jose Market.

Officer John Cabrera arrived at the scene and learned that the victim got into a fight with the male suspect who was described to be in his late 30’s.

During the altercation, police said the victim was stabbed several times in the abdomen by the  suspect. 

The female companion of the suspect backed up her vehicle and struck the victim on the right hip and leg before the two suspects escaped.

Tarkong said anyone having information about this crime should call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 234-7272. All calls are kept anonymous, no caller ID is used and a reward of up to $1,000 is given for any information leading to an arrest.
