Event coordinator Sharmaine Casquero said the response of the community has been tremendous since they started sending invitations for the variety show/dance presentation which will start at 8:30 p.m. on July 31.
“We are inviting all of you to be there and witness this big event to support our young dance groups,” Casquero said.
Project Impact is a group of young people who have danced their way to win various awards in different contests. They have been instrumental in encouraging other young people to stay away from drugs and engage in dancing as a healthy form of exercise.
Encouraged by the accomplishments of Project Impact, Casquero said more dance groups composed of young men and women have been organized.
The event theme is “Say no to drugs, just get up and dance.”
In addition to superb dance numbers from Project Impact, guests will also be entertained by Ricky, “the heartthrob of Saipan,” Project Impact singers Mikki, Alisa, Jane, Demalyn and Angel, Paper Dolls, Simply Stunning Sharmaine, Rock a Beat King Dancers, and the L.O.S.T. Squad Dance Crew.
Part of the proceeds of the event will go to the Division of Youth Services.
Tickets are $10 each, inclusive of one drink and can be purchased at GIG Discotheque in Garapan, For more information, call Ester Sablan or Casquero at 233-2643.
