The support meeting will begin with brief presentations by Salome Castro, nurse supervisor and chemotherapy nurse at the Commonwealth Health Center, and Jack Hardy, senior advisor for the Commonwealth Cancer Association, on the family caregiver workshop they attended in Palau last month.
The workshop covered wound care, stress management and resources for caregivers, and tips for conducting or facilitating support meetings, among other subjects.
Castro’s and Hardy’s presentation will be followed by break-out discussions for survivors and family members/caregivers only.
