The victim said she lost $704 cash, and two checks worth $5,250. It was not known if the stolen money and checks have been recovered.
Yesterday, Superior Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed a $7,000 cash bail on Ngiraibuuch who was arrested on Monday afternoon.
Ngiraibuuch was being held on charges of burglary and theft.
Ngiraibuuch also had a standing bench warrant for separate traffic cases in 2007 and this year.
Assistant Attorney General Nicole Driscoll represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig was appointed as counsel for Ngiraibuuch.
Detective Buddy Igitol said the Department of Public Safety dispatched personnel to J&P Golf Academy on Aug. 30, 2011, at about 10:05 p.m.
Earlier in the day, a man, later identified as Ngiraibuuch through surveillance video, arrived at the establishment at about 8 a.m., and asked a staffer if he could use the company phone to call his family.
Ngiraibuuch told the staffer that his family was supposed to meet him at the establishment to play golf.
After the purported call, Ngiraibuuch started looking at golf equipment and walked around the room.
The victim then came out of her booth and sat on a couch.
Ngiraibuuch asked if he could make another phone call which the staffer allowed. Ngiraibuuch then entered the booth.
After several minutes, the victim checked her make-up inside her purse and discovered her wallet already missing.
When the surveillance video was reviewed, Ngiraibuuch was seen touching the victim’s bag, and taking her wallet before hurriedly exiting the establishment.
