WILLIE Tan’s Concorde Garment Manufacturing Corp. yesterday sued a Los Angeles, California-based garment factory for allegedly failing to pay the balance it owed over the shipment of garments.
Concorde, through attorney Matthew T. Gregory, asked the Superior Court to order Transworld Apparel, Inc. to pay its outstanding balance due of $22,148 plus interest.
Gregory alleged in the complaint that on July 8, 2001 and Aug. 12, 2001 Concorde shipped various garments to Transworld amounting to $209,380.
Gregory said that on Aug. 12, 2001, another shipment of garments was made by Concorde to Transworld through Wooliston Garments in the amount of $53,142.
“The total shipments made by plaintiff to defendant amounted to $262,522 and out of this amount, defendant has only paid $90,041 on Sept. 25, 2001, leaving a balance of $172,481,” Gregory said.
