Police arrested Bradley D. Palacios in Afetnas on Good Friday.
Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo imposed a $10,000 cash bail on Palacios who is being held for criminal trespass, criminal mischief, burglary, assault, assault and battery, and criminal contempt of court.
Yesterday, Palacios appeared in court in the custody of the Department of Corrections for his initial appearance and bail hearing.
Associate Judge David Wiseman reduced the bail to $5,000 and allowed Palacios to pay 10 percent of the amount, or $500 cash.
Wiseman also instructed Palacios not to have any contact with his victim.
Assistant Attorney General Brian Gallagher represented the government while court appointed Assistant Public Defender Michael Brown appeared on behalf of Palacios.
In his affidavit, Detective Peter Aldan said the Department of Public Safety received a call from the victim at about 3:57 p.m. on Wednesday and reported a disturbance of the peace incident at her residence in Dandan.
Police said Palacios attempted to talk to his girlfriend, while inside the victim’s compound, but was ignored.
Palacios then entered the victim’s house, and broke the restroom’s door where the victim was hiding.
The victim’s neighbor rushed to help her and pacified Palacios until Patrol Officer Juan Mendiola arrived and arrested the defendant.
