Teen in burglary case sentenced for criminal mischief

Associate Judge Perry B. Inos immediately placed Terrence C. Cabrera on five years of supervised probation.

Cabrera signed a plea agreement, admitting the offense of criminal mischief.

As part of the plea bargain, the Attorney General’s Office moved for the dismissal of the charges of theft, burglary, and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Cabrera was required to pay a $500 fine, a $25 assessment fee, and a probation fee to be determined by the Adult Probation Office.

The court also ordered Cabrera to perform 100 hours of community work service.

Cabrera will testify truthfully in any trial about the case regarding the activities that gave rise to the commission of the crime, and he will cooperate with the government in prosecuting the case.

Cabrera’s co-defendant is 21-year-old Julian M. Sablan.

According to the AGO, Cabrera and Sablan broke into an Internet café in San Antonio Afetnas by breaking its glass door on Sept. 10, 2009, and stealing a computer monitor and computer modems.

Assistant Attorney General Eli Golob represented the government while Cabrera was  defended by attorney Eric Smith.
