
(Office of the Governor) — On behalf of the CNMI Joint Military Training Project Team, we are sharing this public notice regarding the Revised Draft Environmental Impact Statement or EIS prepared by the U.S. Marine Corps. The EIS supports land-based expeditionary ground and aviation military training for all service components on Tinian, within lands leased by the military.
Public comments on the Revised Draft EIS are being accepted from June 6 to Aug. 20, 2025.
To support continued community engagement, the CJMT and Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs teams on Tinian will be available at the following locations to provide information and answer questions:
• Informational Booth at the BBB Festival – Tinian Fiesta Grounds
Friday & Saturday, Aug. 8–9
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. ChST
• Office Hours – CBMA Tinian Field Office
Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 9–10
11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ChST
Monday, Aug. 11
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ChST
A Chamorro interpreter will be available at outreach events.
All written comments must be postmarked or submitted electronically by Aug. 20, 2025, to be considered in the preparation of the Final EIS and the National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 process.
