(CHCC) — The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation is delighted to announce the arrival of a state-of- the-art lithotripsy machine, significantly expanding its urologic services and enhancing the quality of healthcare services for the CNMI community. This cutting-edge equipment will be instrumental in the treatment of kidney stones, offering a non-invasive and highly effective solution to a common and often painful medical condition.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce lithotripsy to our community,” said Dr. Citro, surgeon at CHCC. “This technology allows us to effectively fragment kidney stones using soundwaves, eliminating the need for traditional surgery. Kidney stones are a common medical condition, affecting millions of Americans each year. Previously, CHCC patients requiring treatment for kidney stones often faced the prospect of traveling outside of the CNMI for care. The arrival of the lithotripsy machine at CHCC eliminates this need, providing patients with convenient access to advanced treatment right here at home.
